The Ministry of Children and Family Development have announced 22 thousand new child care spaces in BC.
According to Minister Katrine Conroy, the new spaces will focus on being affordable and more accessible for those struggling to find affordable child care providers.
The new licensed spaces will be introduced over the next 3 years as part of the Child Care BC New Spaces Fund.
221 million dollars total is being invested in the fund with the goal of expanding quality child care options throughout the province.
