BC Federation of Labour President Irene Lanzinger will visit picket lines at the Mount Polley Mine today.
Lanzinger is scheduled to meet with members of United Steelworkers Local 1-2017 who say they were locked out over three weeks ago.
The union says rights and benefits for temporary workers are among key issues.
Imperial Metals says a three-hour lockout was imposed May 23 in an attempt to overcome a bargaining impasse for a new agreement.
The company says union members then went on strike.
The collective agreement expired at the end of 2017.
