Residents of BC earning minimum wage will see their paycheques on the rise starting tomorrow.
Most minimum wage workers will see an 11.5 percent increase from 11.35 an hour to 12.65.
Resident caretakers and live-in camp leaders will also see their wages jump 11.5 percent.
However, liquor servers in the province will notice a 12.9 percent increase to 11.40 an hour.
The raises are a result of the independant Fare Wages Commission’s recommendations from October of last year, which will see the provinces minimum wage hop to at least 15.20 by 2021.
