Kitimat Water Quality Advisory Lifted After Two Weeks

A water quality advisory which had been in place in the District of Kitimat for the past two weeks has now been lifted.

Issued on May 16th, the advisory stemmed from elevated turbidity levels detected in the water supply.

But Northern Health has now cleared the system, allowing users to return to normal use.

If you continue to notice discolouration in your water, you should run your taps on cold until the water runs clear once more.
