Quesnel RCMP, assisted by the North District Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant for firearms this morning at a property on West Fraser Road. The operation took place around 7:30 a.m., temporarily shutting down the road for safety reasons. Eight firearms were seized, and a 50-year-old man has been arrested. He is currently in custody awaiting a court appearance.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details are being released at this time. Authorities have thanked the public for their patience during the road closure.
