Twelve days into the federal election campaign, the B.C. NDP is calling out Mark Carney for not setting foot in British Columbia. Despite traveling as far west as Winnipeg, Carney turned back east and was last scheduled to campaign in Quebec City before pausing his tour.
The NDP says Carney is ignoring a key province at a critical time, as British Columbians face major challenges, including the threat of illegal tariffs from Donald Trump. They argue that while Carney has skipped B.C., he’s found time to defend tax practices linked to his former company, Brookfield.
With the election heating up, the NDP is pressuring Carney to address concerns in the West and show up for voters in the province.
