Members of the school’s Faculty Association issued a 72-hour strike notice last Thursday following months of unsuccessful contract negotiations.
But, in order to limit the impact on students, they will not be hitting the picket lines, but will instead be working to rule as talks continue.
As such, the nearly 550 instructors represented by the Association will be performing only the duties specifically laid out in their contracts.
While that means classes will continue, voluntary after-class work and extra-curricular work on clubs and committees will be put on hold.
Bargaining is set to continue, with both sides expressing their desire to come to a mutually agreeable and equitable deal.
