Today on Good Medicine with Taylor Ormiston and Carrie Philip Part 2…
We discuss the Nenqayni Wellness Centre in Williams Lake, BC. This non-profit organization provides FREE holistic healing to First Nations and Inuit youth, families, and communities within BC and the Yukon. Beyond addictions, Nenqayni also treats grief, loss, low-self esteem, anger, poor communication, and parenting.
Carrie and Taylor share why they do what they do, words of encouragement for those struggling, and those supporting someone who’s struggling, along with what they do to take care of themselves… their own personal Good Medicine.
Carrie expressed how she felt blessed to have the responsibility to be a good strong indigenous woman. Taylor spoke about wanting to give back what she herself received, and how Being able to contribute to a sense of belonging, and connection, she in turn receives belonging and connection, and in Cultivating a safe space, she therefore gets to live in safe spaces—creating the world she wants to live in.
