Impaired drivers have been keeping RCMP officers in Kitimat busy over the past week, which saw multiple prohibitions handed out.
It started Saturday morning, when police caught a vehicle running a stop sign on Fulmer Street, while conducting patrols.
When they driver exited the vehicle showing signs of intoxication, police approached and they admitted to liquor consumption, earning a 90 day driving ban.
On Monday, police pulled over a vehicle while conducting patrols on Loganberry Street, and observed open alcohol bottles in the car, leading to an impoundment and 7 day suspension.
And early this morning, an officer was patrolling Haisla Boulevard when they observed a vehicle swerving between lanes multiple times.
They were pulled over, and eventually issued a 90 day driving prohibition and 30 day vehicle impoundment.
Drivers are reminded that alcohol and cars do not mix, and a simple driving ban is among the better outcomes.
