Back on September 8th at around 7:55 in the morning, Kitimat RCMP got word of a single motor vehicle incident on Kitamaat Village Road.
Officers arrived on the scene and found that the vehicle in question was in the nearby ditch and that firefighters were getting the driver out the same vehicle.
It was also discovered that there was a second vehicle and driver on the scene and that vehicle had not received much in the way of damage.
According to information collected by the Police, driver one supposedly passed driver two while going uphill and through a solid yellow line where no passing is allowed before driver one ended up in the ditch.
Driver one had to be transported to a hospital for non life threatening injuries while driver 2 was un-injured.
The investigation into this incident is still on-going and Kitimat RCMP are also using it as a warning for all drivers to obey all traffic laws and signs.
