Heat warnings remain in place covering nearly the entire province, and are expected to stay in place through the week.
Inland sections of the North Coast, including Terrace, Kitimat and Stewart, as well as the Central Coast will see daytime temperatures hit the low-30s, only dropping to around 17 overnight.
Temperatures are expected to get even higher in the Cariboo and Bulkley Valley, with temperatures climbing to the mid-30s during the day.
Prince Rupert, Haida Gwaii, western Vancouver Island, and the far reaches of the northwest are the only sections of the province to avoid a heat warning.
With temperatures this high, the risk of heat-related illnesses increase, especially for the elderly, children, pregnant women, and those with chronic illnesses.
Residents are advised to drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol and strenuous activities, remain indoors as much as possible, and prepare a heat plan.
