A memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed by the Cariboo Regional District, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and the City of Williams Lake regarding an assessment and investigation into the Hodgson Landslide Complex.
The memorandum was recommended earlier this week on Tuesday at a Williams Lake Regular Council meeting because the complex happens to be in the jurisdiction of the Ministry, the City and the District and it was asked if the Mayor of Williams Lake Walt Cobb could sign on the city’s behalf.
Council made the choice to vote in favor of allowing the city to sign the memorandum.
Now all three parties will likely combine their efforts on investigating the Complex, mainly by sharing information.
However, any party can terminate the agreement for any reason but 30 days of written notice must be given.
