A traffic stop in Fort St John from last month left RCMP fawning over an unusual stow away.
Police pulled the vehicle over in the early hours of June 30th, seizing drugs, but also noticing deer fawn catching a ride in the backseat.
Officers seized the one-month old fawn, before handing it over to the Rimrock Wildlife Rehab for eventual reintegration into the wild.
As for the occupants of the vehicle, they were arrested for possession of live wildlife, and are awaiting charges for the drugs.
An investigation in to the drugs has been launched by RCMP, along with a separate investigation by the Conservation Office.
Anyone with information they believe to be of assistance is asked to contact Fort St John RCMP at 250 787 8100.
