River flows in the Northwest may be relatively calm for now, but the River Forecast Centre is predicting a boom in the coming days.
In light of this, they have issued a High Streamflow Advisory for the Skeena and Bulkley Rivers and their tributaries near Terrace, Smithers, Telkwa, Kispiox, and Hazelton.
Both rivers remain at one year flood levels for now, but heavy rainfall in the forecast has the Centre predicting 5-year levels in the coming days.
A Flood Watch has also been maintained for the Nechako River, along with a Flood Warning for the Quesnel River.
A High Streamflow Advisory is in place covering the Fraser River from Prince George to the ocean, as well as its tributaries in the Robson Valley.
The majority of the southeast portion of the province, east of Lytton, is covered under a flood advisory of some kind.
