A temporary water restriction has been issued for users of the Thornhill and Rural Terrace Water Systems.
Issued by the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine, the temporary restrictions are due to increased water use prompted by warming temperatures.
While the restrictions are in place, irrigation of lawns and domestic gardens is only allowed once per week between 4:00 and 8:00 in the morning, and 7:00 to 10:00 at night.
Hand watering is allowed at all times, though residents are asked to avoid washing building exteriors, vehicles, driveways and patios, and to refrain from adding water to pools.
