As of today, BC residents from many different backgrounds will now be able to apply to join the Province’s anti-racism committee.
This committee was created for the purpose of eradicating the systemic racism that unfortunately remains as a part of the Province.
The committee is also a part of the province’s recently enacted Anti-Racism Data Act, which is looking to create partnerships with all people of color in order to get government services and programs to work at maximum efficiency for everyone in BC.
As many as 11 positions on the committee are available and applications for spots on the committee will be accepted until July 18th.
The government is encouraging Black, Indigenous and other racialized people to send an application their way for one of the jobs.
