Even with multiple advisories and alerts being lifted recently, the risk of floods has not gone away completely for some BC residents.
A High streamflow advisory has been put in place for the town of Smithers, village of Telkwa and the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako.
That advisory is calling for a potential 10 year flood level in the area that it covers.
The flood warning that covers the Liard river and its tributaries near Fort Nelson and Watson Lake is also still in place.
And late yesterday afternoon, the City of Quesnel asked their residents to prepare for potential flooding.
As of right now, the Quesnel river has been put under a flood watch.
The Fraser River is under a high streamflow advisory as well now.
