A new report from the City of Quesnel is advising their residents to get ready for potential flooding.
No evacuation alerts or orders are in place at this time but water levels in the Quesnel River are currently on the rise and may end up exceeding their river banks.
Due to the levels rising, the city has activated their Emergency Operations Centre at Level 1, which allows them to start talking with Emergency Management BC about getting resources to stop more potential flooding.
All updates will be posted to the city of Quesnel’s website but for now, the city is recommending that residents keep kids and pets away from river banks and that all detour sign should be followed.
