University of BC students who are studying biomedical engineering are going to have a new learning environment before too long.
A joint announcement was recently made by the university alongside the province that they will be teaming up to spend a combined $139 million on a project to build a new building for the study of biomedical engineering.
The project’s construction is expected to start this summer and the building is expected to be open by early 2025.
This project is apart of the province’s long-term StrongerBC Economic Plan that will look to take advantage of BC’s recovered economy and help deal with two major problems in BC, inequality and climate change.
