A Prince George man was forced to surrender his airsoft rifle to police after numerous witnesses reported him toting it around town.
Yesterday evening, RCMP received multiple reports of a man with a gun in the area of 5 Avenue and Gillett Street.
According to witnesses, the man was waving the gun around, and pointing it down driveways.
Unable to determine whether or not the weapon was real or a replica, police immediately flooded the area with a heavy presence.
After discovering the weapon to be an airsoft gun, police spoke with the man regarding his actions, before he eventually surrendered the gun to police.
