Newly introduced hunting regulation changes aim to support reconciliation and wildlife stewardship, and will impact most of the province.
In the South Skeena, limited entry hunting will replace the October 20th to 22nd general open season for bull moose.
In addition, the bow-only open seasons between September 1st and the 9th, and November 16th and the 20th, will also be replaced with limited entry hunting.
In the Peace, all caribou hunts will be closed for one year, as will moose hunts in the Peace Moberly Tract and Moose Lake.
All moose hunting in the Peace will be changed to limited entry and will be closed completely in August, and between October 1st and the 15th.
