In a press from earlier today, the City of Quesnel and the Cariboo Regional District said that they are looking to get public feedback on which of three options they believe should be chosen when it comes to renovating the city’s Arts and Recreation Centre.
Option 1 would see the building upgraded without expansion and cost $12.6 million, Option 2 would see the building get upgraded and expanded and that would cost $30.7 million, Option 3 is essentially the same as option 2 but with the addition of a waterslide and that version will cost $34.6 million.
A survey has been launched for residents to give their feedback, which can be found on the Let’s connect Quesnel website or be done on papers available at the City of Quesnel and the CRD Quesnel Office.
Residents will also be able to express their thoughts at one of three open houses being held by the city from 4 till 7 PM, the first of which will take place on June 1st at the Rec centre, the next one will be on June 13th at École Red Bluff Lhtako Elementary, the final one happens on June 15th at Bouchie Lake Hall.
The deadline to complete and turn in the survey is June 24th and the survey results will be revealed on September 24th.
