Rising temperatures and melting snowpacks have prompted a pair of warnings in the Cariboo from the BC River Forecast Centre.
A flood watch has been issued for the Moffat Creek area, near Horsefly, with water flowing near its 5-year flood return period.
In addition, a high streamflow advisory has also been issued for sections of the Middle Fraser Basin, just south of Williams Lake.
That includes low-lying areas around the San Jose River above Boreland Creek, and Bridge Creek below Deka Creek.
Larger systems with more watershed area at higher elevations are not covered under the advisory with snowpacks only beginning to melt.
Larger streams in the area, such as the Quesnel River, have begun to rise, but not enough to prompt advisories.
Areas under a flood watch should be prepared incase flooding does occur, and those under streamflow warnings could see minor flooding at low elevations.
