Police have seized enough fentanyl to supply more than 8,000 doses as part of a drug trafficking investigation in Prince George.
RCMP have executed search warrants at two residences over the past month in relation to the on-going investigation.
One warrant covered a home on the 2000 block of Pine Street, while the other took place at an apartment on the 1700 block of 17th Avenue.
Between the two, police seized approximately 800 grams of suspected fentanyl, smaller quantities of suspected meth and cocaine, a large quantity of hydromorphone pills, and a firearm.
The fentanyl quantity alone is enough to provide approximately 8,700 single doses, with a street value of $391,000.
Two men were arrested over the course of the investigation, with officers seizing over 70 grams of suspected fentanyl, cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia off one.
Both men are known to be involved in the drug trade, and both were released pending the results of the full investigation.
