A boil water advisory issued by the City of Williams Lake last week has been lifted, following test results on the water.
Issued last Thursday out of precaution, the advisory had been prompted after the rupturing of a water main during repair work, which required depressurization of the main.
Residents on sections of Hodgson Road, Deer Park Terrace, the Pioneer and Terra Ridge Strata Complexes, and some on Woodland Drive, were all impacted.
But the review of test samples conducted by Interior Health has deemed the water safe and the advisory has now been lifted.
Remaining repair work on the Hodgson water main is expected to be completed on the week of May 2nd, with shut downs localized to the Hodgson Road area.
