Earlier today, the Xatśūll First Nation announced a new $3.8 million project that will look to build a convenience store, gas station, a seasonal museum showing off Xatśūll and Secwépemc artifacts and a quick serve restaurant near the site of the emporium.
They also announced that they will be renovating the emporium located north of Williams Lake and that the project should take about a year to complete if there are no delays.
In terms of the gas station, they will be getting gas from Petro Canada and the station will also have charging stations for electric cars.
Nine full time jobs and seven part times are expected to become available thanks to this project and Kevin Potter of Capital Asset Management Solutions will lead the development of the project.
