A staffing shortage is forcing BC Transit to temporarily reduce service to a number of routes in Smithers and the surrounding area.
Each of the following changes will take effect on Friday (March 18th), and will be in place through April 18th.
Route 22 between Smithers and Telkwa will be reduced to four weekday departures from Smithers, and three from Telkwa.
Route 23 between Smithers and Witset, will see two trips departing each community on weekdays.
Weekday On-Request hours are also being temporarily reduced, operating between 10:00 and 1:00 in the afternoon, and from 2:00 to 3:15, Monday through Friday.
