Plans to bring a new commercial development featuring a gas bar, restaurant, and stores to Kitimat took a step closer to reality last night.
That development is set to go up at 36 Highway 37, at one of three Crossroads Commercial Lots located south of Forest Avenue.
Following the current proposal, the site would feature a 4-pump gas bar and convenience store, a McDonald’s restaurant with drive thru, and a two unit commercial retail unit.
During their regular meeting last night, Council voted to refer the application to the Advisory Planning Commission for their approval.
In addition, Council also voted to forward a related variance application related to a proposed parking lot just south of the site.
Both matters will be brought to the table during the ACP’s February 17th meeting.
