A call has been sent out by the Prince George RCMP, looking for volunteers to join a particular unit.
Police are looking for new members of their city funded Victim Services unit, whose job it is to support to both survivors of serious incidents like murder or assault and the loved ones of those who passed in an incident like a vehicle crash.
There are some requirements for any who wish to volunteer for this unit.
The candidate needs be at least 19, show good judgement and have a high level of maturity.
They must be available for one office shift a week and two 12 hour on call shifts every month.
Another requirement is having a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a Driver’s Abstract both upon acceptance and annually.
Volunteers also need to get an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance.
