Enbridge has reportedly purchased the defunct Pacific Trail Pipeline.
Word of the purchase went out to stakeholders via a letter detailing the purchase of the 471 km pipeline stretching from north of Prince George to Kitimat.
According to Enbridge, they currently have no plans for the pipeline, which was purchased from Chevron and Woodside Petroleum.
Both companies had already begun to bail from the project last year.
Prior to the sale, they had signed a benefit agreement with the First Nations Limited Partnership, which represents 16 First Nations Councils from the coast to the Fraser.
They have not issued a comment on the purchase, and are not likely to, though Enbridge plans to maintain the partnership.
No details regarding a purchase price have been released.
