Another day, another change in Covid restrictions announced by Dr Bonnie Henry.
Those who test positive for Covid-19, but show no symptoms, and are fully vaccinated now only have to self-isolate for 5 days.
However, they do need to wear a mask around anyone for an additional 5 days post-isolation.
For unvaccinated individuals, there remains no change, all must self-isolate for 10 days, regardless of symptoms.
In response to a slew of outbreaks, long-term care and assisted living homes will be shifting to essential visitors only beginning tomorrow.
Dr Henry says she will re-evaluate that restriction on January 18th, when some other enhanced restrictions are set to expire.
In addition, the province will be shifting to an interval-based booster campaign, with a new focus on getting everyone a booster 6 months after their second dose, regardless of age.
They will also be prioritizing boosters for pregnant women.
