A Prince George man has been arrested on a number of weapons-related charges following quick action by the RCMP on Thursday.
Police received reports of a man who was threatening individuals with a gun in a motel on the 2300 block of Northwood Pulpmill Road.
Upon seeing officers arrive, the suspect fled in a vehicle, and officers called on the North District Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services Team to assist in a search.
Less than an hour later, officers were able to locate 41 year-old David Harding, who was known to police, and arrest him on a number of charges.
Harding is now being charged with break and enter, use of an imitation firearm to commit an offence, possession of a weapon, assault with a weapon, and more.
He will remain in custody as he undergoes court proceedings.
