Premier John Horgan will undergo surgery tomorrow after discovering a suspicious lump in his throat.
According to the Premier, he has been in hospital for testing multiple times since discovering the growth several months back.
Testing reportedly revealed that the lump was benign, but during the procedures, another concern was discovered.
Tomorrow’s surgery will tackle that newly discovered issue, which Horgan says he has been told is “certainly treatable”.
Horgan had been previously diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2008, but made a quick recovery following treatment.
Minister Mike Farnsworth has been elected as deputy premier in the meantime, though Horgan says he will not be stepping away from his role.
