A new UBC program is doing everything it can to help with BC’s shortage of people with medical expertise and allow patients to more easily access physical therapy services.
The program, known as Master of Physical Therapy – North, was launched last year in Prince George with the hopes of making it so more medical graduates stuck around in more remote areas of BC.
One of the program’s student’s, Gabe Johnson, gave some more context behind the program’s hope to get students to stay in the North.
The program’s creation was made possible thanks to funding from the provincial government and the funding is currently being delivered via a partnership with the University of Northern British Columbia.
