Amidst a string of controversy surrounding his candidacy, the BC Liberals have decided to deny Aaron Gunn’s leadership bid.
Gunn has issued troubling statements on social media, denying the existence of systemic racism, and other views which the Party deemed against their values.
Gunn marketed himself as a relative conservative, and was not shy in sharing radical views over the direction he thought the Liberals should go.
The Liberal Party Leadership Committee, who declined Gunn’s bid today, have approved 6 candidates as of this moment.
The Party is set to choose a leader in February of next year, and all applications must be submitted by December 17th.
