BC’s Legislature began their Fall session this week, following a year of virtual sessions and online meetings.
As the first week wrapped up, Premier John Horgan shared a brief outlook of what’s in store for the Fall session.
Among other things, Horgan highlighted the province’s CleanBC plan, collaborations on child care with Ottawa, and long-awaited forestry reform measures.
In addition, the Premier mentioned a Royalty Review of the Oil and Gas industry announced today.
That review will aim to reform a 30 year-old system to modernize and align it with current climate goals.
Under the review system, an independent review will be conducted, which will then be critiqued by the public, stakeholders, and First Nations.
The report is expected to release next February.
