While the staffing issues are still a problem, some good news hit the Fort St John Hospital today.
Yesterday, Northern Health declared the end of an outbreak which had plagued the Hospital’s Inpatient Unit since August 27th.
In total, four patients and three staff tested positive for Covid during the outbreak, with one patient death.
While the outbreak may be over, it’s not the end of the struggles for the hospital, which has become a face in the staff shortage crisis.
The Hospital has been without the use of its ICU for over a year due to staffing issues.
