Cancer patients in BC in need of a lift will now have access to a renewed resource.
Wheels of Hope is a Canadian Cancer Society project which looks to provide cancer patients with rides to and from their treatment.
Beginning next month, the service will be expanding to cover the Interior, Prince George, and Vancouver Island.
With the expansion, the Society will be offering rides in BC for the first time in nearly 6 years, following a 3 decade partnership with the Freemasons.
The expansion is expected to add roughly 800 patients to the service which transported more than 12,500 patients last year.
