A grizzly bear attack near Babine Lake has left one in hospital.
According to the Conservation Service, the attack took place near the Village of Granisle early this morning.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, though no other information is available at this time.
The attack comes just a day after RCMP in Burns Lake, just southeast of Granisle, warned the public over multiple bear sightings.
Residents are reminded not to interact with any bears they come across, and to either leave them be or contact Conservation Services.
According to the Conservation Services, the vast majority of human-bear encounters do not end in an attack.
