Prince George RCMP are seeking witnesses to an extensive joy ride from the weekend which spanned two cities.
At 5:00 Sunday night, police learned of a driver who had collided with another vehicle while speeding and leaving Vanderhoof.
Several RCMP Units set up roadblocks in the Beaverly area to attempt to stop the driver, to no avail.
After hitting a spike strip, the driver abandoned his vehicle and attempted to continue to flee on foot.
Thanks to the assistance of a police dog, officers were able to arrest 22 year-old Cameron Boyes on a number of charges.
Now, police are seeking witnesses who may have seen Boyes’ joy ride.
They are asking anyone with relevant information to contact Prince George RCMP at 250 561 3300.
