A new proactive approach looks to help those in the Upper Skeena at risk of harm or victimization to access services.
Announced today, the program will utilize a team of front-line workers made up of the health, safety, and social services agencies.
They will help to identify vulnerable members of the community, who have a heightened probability of falling to crime, or experiencing harm or victimization.
The teams will then quickly connect the individuals to the correct, available, services before they experience a negative or harmful event.
In total, 45 thousand dollars in grant money was provided by the province through their Office of Crime Reduction and Gang Outreach.
