Twelve recommendations were put forward as the BC Assembly of First Nations wrapped up their Annual General Meeting yesterday.
The first day featured presentations from a number of Indigenous federal candidates, including Skeena candidate Adeana Young.
Initially, the Federal Leaders failed to respond to invitations to the virtual event.
But NDP leader Jagmeet Singh quickly issued an apology and attended and spoke on the final day of meetings.
Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau also sent in a recording, which was distributed afterward.
Recommendations put forward provide future business direction for the Assembly and its members.
On the final day, the members held an election for their Women`s Representative, to which Louisa Housty-Jones was re-elected.
The Board of Directors was acclaimed on the final day.
