According to a report released yesterday, Indigenous tourism across Canada has actually increased this year.
The research for the report was conducted by the Conference Board of Canada, on behalf of the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada.
So far, the report says Indigenous Tourism numbers have increased by modest levels as a sign of early recovery.
That being said, when compared to pre-pandemic levels, the industry has seen a 54 percent decline.
In 2019, the industry brought in over 1.8 billion dollars, compared to just 858 million over the same period this year.
