UBCM To Review Report Recommending a Fairer Property Tax System

With the Union of BC Municipalities Convention set to begin next week, a new report in to local government finance has been released.

According to the Union, the most important recommendations in the report relate to the introduction of a fairer, more sustainable, property tax system.

UBCM President Brian Frenkel says that a more adaptable taxing system will help local economies break free from the pandemic`s hold.

UBCM delegates representing nearly every region of the province will meet on September 15th, where they will vote on the recommendations made in the report.
