Over 330 million dollars in pandemic relief money is being made available in Indigenous communities across Canada.
Indigenous Services Canada announced the funding in their Fall Economic Statement.
The investment will be used to offset declines in the Own-Source Revenue used to provide initial funding.
Own-Source Revenue is income received by communities as a result of business ventures, property taxes, commercial taxes, and various other sources.
Indigenous citizens, businesses, and projects which have suffered financially from the pandemic can apply before September 30th.
Interested applicants can email OSRIC@FNFMB.com for more info and to find out whether or not they qualify.
