Government Officials are blaming a computer glitch for a phantom earthquake reported near Kitimat yesterday.
A report released by the United States Geological Survey made claims of a 6.5 magnitude quake, 165 kms south of Kitimat.
But National Resources Canada says the quake was misreported due to a computer glitch.
A representative says that it`s possible the system detected two smaller quakes and mistook them for one.
