In observance of the new Truth and Reconciliation Day, the Cariboo Regional District will be closing their offices on September 30th.
Announced earlier this year, the new statutory holiday is intended to be a day of remembrance and reflection.
Since then, various provinces and organizations have announced that they will not be participating, but the CRD did the reverse today.
The district says they will use the day to honour all the work done by Indigenous community members.
