The R-C-M-P continue to enforce the court injunction against blockades set up to prevent old-growth logging around the Fairy Creek watershed on Vancouver Island.
They say three people who were locked in trenches were arrested yesterday along with one person who voluntarily came down from a tree they had been occupying.
The Mounties say they’ve made 834 arrests since injunction enforcement began in May, including 72 people who have been arrested a combined total of 173 times.
The injunction is set to expire later this month and the Teal-Jones Group, the forestry company with the harvesting license in the area, has applied for an extension that the protest group is set to oppose.
