Turns out the City of Terrace is not the only BC town that is looking to clean up and hopefully get rid of some city wide issues.
The City of Quesnel is going to be receiving funding from the province to examine and minimize homelessness.
The funding will be coming in the form of $317,651 to use for their project known as ‘Strengthening Quesnel’s Homelessness Services.’
The city’s director of development services in Tanya Turner also revealed that the funding would be used to hire a social community coordinator.
Turner also stated that earlier in the year, de-escalation training for staff that included help from bylaw officers in order to improve their ability to handle high-stress interactions was completed as part of the project.
