Three of the five fast charging stations that are located on Highway 16 just a bit west of Prince George, are not working at the moment, which really hampers the provincial government’s plan to expand the level 3 network to the northwest.
The Three stations, which are located at the Cluculz Rest Area, the Savory Rest Area and at the Boulder Creek Rest Area respectively, are all dealing with the same issue in the form of a broken cord end.
All three of these stations are owned by the provincial transportation ministry, and they just recently announced their plan to add a fourth charging location along Highway16 in the park and ride area south of the Hwy16/37 Thornhill roundabout.
The transportation ministry also made sure to add that each of these stations has what’s called a backup level two charger, which is basically a version that charges slower than the level three charger. The level two charger also may require an adapter to be used.
